Hotel in Meransen in the Ski &
Almen Region Gitschberg Jochtal.

“Authentic, earthy, rooted in tradition: these are the traits that make us who we are and that inspire us to share the experience of the mountain and our country with our guests. We want to accompany you on an unforgettable journey of discovery, not just through our countryside, but also to yourself. We also want to provide you with a base for your adventure. We want you to arrive as a guest and leave as our friend,” say  the Hosts Katharina and Gerd. They, Gerds parents and twelve young employees full of enthusiasm are all children of the mountains. They love to spend their

time outside in nature. They even love to spend their holidays in the Alpine region: “Sometimes I also like to travel a little farther, yet I always want to be active,” explains Gerd, himself a native of South Tyrol. Asked about the name of the HOTEL OF THE MOUNTAINS in Meransen at the heart of the Ski & Almen Region Gitschberg Jochtal, Gerd immediately knows the answer: “The Lärchenhof was named after a magnificent tree in our woods close-by: the larch, or in German Lärche, was known as an ancient and prominent landmark throughout Meransen.”

Each day.

The team at Lärchenhof is always at your service. And we want to thank them for this.

The employees at the HOTEL OF THE MOUNTAINS love the active life. They feel most at home outdoors. Most of them have enriched our hotel with their passion and enthusiasm for more than five years now. They help us improve with new ideas and for this we are infinitely grateful. We also like to show our gratitude by providing each employee with access to e-bikes, toboggans, snowshoes, free use of the spa, flexible working hours, career-oriented further education and training opportunities and many more benefits.

Culinary inspiration
from Host Gerd.

People like to come together to eat.
Especially when it tastes this good.

What are Host Gerd’s favourite dishes? “Even after all these years, we still love the Larch Loaf. We bake it according to an old recipe and recommend each and every guest to try it. We also have a great love for dumplings, from Pustertal fried cheese dumplings to red beet dumplings and bacon dumplings – we eat dumplings in all shapes and sizes.”
